Concentrate Pipelines

Concentrate pipelines are a critical asset to remote mine sites, as they are often the only means of sending ore to ports and other facilities where the concentrate can be shipped for processing.  Historically, when internal corrosion protection is desired HDPE liners are pulled through long sections of pipe. LPS’ welded joint system now permits polyurethane-lined pipe to be constructed with full penetration welded joints, thus offering the following advantages:

Corrosive Water Pipelines

Epoxy or polyurethane lined pipe with welded joints is the most cost-effective long-term solution to internal corrosion. One option historically used to apply the epoxy to steel at the weld zone is a robot. Here’s how the Joint Lock Ring™ solution compares:

Abrasive Slurry High Pressure Pipelines

Tailings, sand, and run of mine are highly abrasive. Transporting these slurries long-distance by pipeline is now much more cost-effective with the use of Joint Lock Ring™ welded joints and premium abrasion resistant pipe linings such as polyurethane or rubber.
