One of Brazil’s largest contractors, OEC, was given the prestigious INOVAINFRA award for using FlexSleeve® to protect the interior of welded pipe joints from corrosion on the 28″ diameter x 92km COPASA Sistema Sao Francisco Montes Claros water pipeline.
They improved productivity by 28% and eliminated the safety hazard of people entering the pipe to hand-patch the joints.
Note that this project utilized FlexSleeve with slip joints. FlexSleeve also functions with full-penetration butt joints.
