About Lined Pipe Systems
Lined Pipe Systems was formed in 2017 to solve one of the most challenging problems of pipeline infrastructure: how to protect the interior of steel welded pipe joints from corrosion when temperatures exceeding 1,000°C are mere millimeters away from the protective polymer.
The focus was to develop contractor-friendly products that not only permanently protect the weld joint from corrosion, but also permit fast construction using widely accepted construction techniques.
Extensive research and testing has yielded the simplest, most cost-effective solutions for construction of pipelines with internal coatings/linings.
More than 200 km of pipelines have been built with LPS technology in more than 10 countries. LPS has manufacturing facilities near Houston, Texas, USA and in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Our Management Team
LPS’ management team is comprised of individuals with successful careers in international pipeline construction and corrosion protection.
Ryan Sears
Chief Executive Officer
Before co-founding LPS, Mr. Sears spent the first 17 years of his career as General Manager & President of Goodwest Linings & Coatings, which grew five-fold under his direction and was recognized as a a leading applicator of internal lining systems for tanks, pipe, and pumps for some of industries harshest conditions, including acid tanks, pressure vessels, slurry pipelines, and raw seawater pipelines. In addition to extensive technical knowledge of protective polymers, Mr. Sears has strengths in business development, marketing, and business administration.
Jose Anisio de Oliveira e Silva
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Silva has spent a 40+year career in pipeline engineering and construction and is widely respected for his pipeline construction knowledge. He has held such roles as Engineering Manager for the 523km Bolivia to Brazil gas pipeline and 530km Anglo American Minas Rio Iron Ore Slurry Pipeline. As a co-founder of LPS, his primary responsibility has been design and testing of LPS’ patented joint-connection systems for internally lined pipelines. Mr. Silva’s disciplined and thorough approach to engineering challenges has led to several innovative solutions for client problems.
Luiz Neuenschwander
Operations Manager
Mr. Neuenschwander has spent his 30+ year career in pipeline construction project management and quality management. He is a mechanical engineer with excellent technical skills. Mr. Neunschwander’s excellent organizing skills allow for his detailed, accurate, and conservative project management approach. He ensures the job not only gets done, but done with a high level of quality assurance.
Marian Hagler
General Counsel
Mrs. Hagler has deep global experience in the development of natural resources and related infrastructure, including Global Major Projects (O&G and Mining) with Baker & McKenzie in Russia, Kazakhstan, North Africa, and the Middle East.
Ezechiel Decote
Project Manager
Mr. Decote has extensive experience in quality control for world-wide oil & gas projects. He is a certified welding engineer with expertise in welding, non-destructive examination, hydro-static testing, and steel fabrication. Mr. Decote’s deep, hands-on knowledge of LPS’ products, welding, and pipeline construction has made him ideally suited to his role as LPS Project Manager.
William Pacheco
Manufacturing Manager
Mr. Pacheco is a mechanical engineer that has held Project Manager and Procurement roles for large international energy projects. His organizational and technical experties is instrumental in establishing manufacturing processes that promote quality and and on-time delivery. Mr. Pacheco is also proficient in cost estimating and manufacturing cost accounting.
