Easy Installation of Tuff-N-Nuff Rockshield

Installing Tuff-N-Nuff terrain is simple and can be done in three ways, depending on the size of the pipeline and what equipment is available:

1. Cigarette Wrap (for pipes 20″ or smaller)
   For smaller pipes, the cigarette wrap method works best. Unroll the Tuff-N-Nuff Rockshield over the top of the pipe, letting the edges hang down. Make sure the roll fits the pipe’s size with a 4″ overlap. Use nonmetallic strapping or tape to secure the edges, making sure the ends overlap at the 6 o’clock position on the pipe for full protection.
2. Using Pads
   For larger pipes, Tuff-N-Nuff Pads are available in 72″ wide sections that match the size of the pipe. Wrap the pad around the pipe, making sure the ends overlap by about 2″ to 4″. Secure it with nonmetallic tape or strapping, with the edges slightly overlapping by 1″ to 2″ along the length of the pipe.
3. Spiral Wrapping
   Another option is spiral wrapping the Tuff-N-Nuff Rock formation around the pipe. You can do this by hand or use a machine to wrap the tape around the pipe in a spiral pattern. This method gives even protection all around the pipe.
